The league will pay athletes who don’t want to be exploited by NCAA and prepare them for the NBA. The league will pay athletes $3,000 – 10,000 a month
Mad Mikes Take
Personally I think it’s a TERRIBLE idea. I know kids continue to be exploited by the NCAA year by year….making millions of dollars off these athletes through television contracts etc. etc.
However, I do think kids NEED an education. If they just so happen to get hurt…
What’s $3,000 – 10,000? Going to do for them?
Without a proper the education or skills they will be back in the gutter making bad decisions or working in someone’s business.
This is my opinion.. Here are 10 Top Tweets on this latest development.
What I like about LaVar Ball is he thinks big and he thinks fearlessly. He just might make his news league work, as an extension of AAU.

Shout out to Lavar Ball for creating the JBA, so that high school and college players won't continue to get exploited by playing for free, while colleges rake in billions from their talents ✊🏿🇺🇸 pic.twitter.com/pTfmj3dJha

I understand what Lavar Ball is trying to do, which is to make people realize the VALUE of black athletes and that they should be compensated as such. But encouraging them to pass on an opportunity for a *free* back up plan which 98% of them may need is crazy to me.

LaVar Ball’s pitch
– You really tryna go to class
– You trying to get this money?
– Do you wanna be a broke baller or a big baller?
